Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Child Development program is for students who want to work immediately after graduation.  This program prepares students to work in a variety of positions in early childhood programs, including jobs such as Early Head Start and Head Start teacher assistants, preschool teacher assistants, parent educators, family support professionals, child care facility administrators, and state agency employees.  Courses include:

  • Preschool Behavior & Guidance
  • Child Dev Management & Budgeting
  • Child Growth & Development
  • Program Planning & Administration
  • Children with Special Needs


  • Official high school and college (if applicable) transcripts
  • Official copies of ACT or SAT scores (ACCUPLACER is accepted for adult students 21 years and older)
  • Copies of social security card and driver's license
  • Official copies of CLEP or AP test scores (if applicable)
