Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in English as a Second Language (ESL) program focuses on research-based best practices in ESL education for both children and adults.  Students gain essential on-the-job skills in language, culture, instruction, assessment, and professionalism.  Graduates find careers as teachers, tutors, school counselors, reading specialists, and speech pathologists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in teacher education with a GPA of 2.80 or higher (Students with a GPA below 2.80 may apply for conditional admission) or 12 credits completed with a grade of B or better in a graduate education program
  • Official transcripts from an accredited undergraduate institution
