Program Details

California InterContinental University offers an online Master of Business Administration program with an emphasis in Information Systems and Knowledge Management for students seeking careers in the fields of management, server administration, business systems analysis, and control systems management. Students interested in computers and information systems and are looking for a career in business management will benefit from these courses and will learn about information technology, knowledge management, information security, and information systems.

Some of the courses in this program include MBA Program Planning, Financial Statement Analysis, Marketing and Brand Management, Economics for Decision Making, Strategic Human Resource Management, Strategic Management and Competitive Globalization, and Problem Analysis and Research Methods. Emphasis courses further their learning experience in management and information systems subjects. Skills such as applicable business problems, information systems, project management, and decision making, as well as, concepts such as the value of business and e-learning, will be taught throughout the courses. Students round out the program with either a Master’s Capstone Project or a Master’s Thesis Plan approved by the Student Advisory Faculty.

Requirements

In addition to the preliminary admissions requirements, an applicant for the Master's degree program must submit and meet the following admission prerequisites:
  • A copy of the applicant's Curriculum Vitae or Professional Resume.
  • Official Transcript showing the completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation – CHEA.
  • An applicant who has completed his Bachelor's degree in a non-business related area (i.e., Engineering or Science) is required to meet CalUniversity's business foundational prerequisites by taking a required course in Basic Accounting. Other elective courses are available for the student's consideration.
  • The applicant's prior college academic records must show a minimal Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of C (2.0 on a scale of 4.0) or higher.
