Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology
California Baptist University offers a Bachelor of Science completion degree in Kinesiology. The curriculum is 49 units: 42 units of core courses and seven units of additional program courses. All students are to complete CST 100 and meet the Upper Christian Studies requirements. Additionally, all students must complete Composition and Intermediate Composition prior to taking the core courses. It is preferred that applicants have a minimum of 24 transferrable units.
The curriculum at California Baptist is quite unique; students are also encouraged to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. Additionally, the curriculum has a holistic approach; students develop strong moral character while developing strong backgrounds in multiple disciplines. The curriculum integrates both exercise science and physical education courses, which helps prepares students for both graduate school and as professionals. Additionally, the faculty, alongside the curriculum, helps students who have high moral character academically by guiding them with the Christian values and mission of California Baptist University.
The Kinesiology courses include topics of: anatomy, contemporary health issues, exercise physiology, behavioral aspects of sport, motor development, first aid, and several others.
