Bachelor of Science in Accounting
California Baptist University offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. The curriculum is 70 units: 15 units of business core courses, 27 units of upper business core courses, 24 units of upper accounting courses, and four additional program units. It is preferred that applicants have a minimum of 24 transferrable units.
The program is specifically designed for professionals who want to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in an accelerated format. Additionally, the program is flexible so that students may take courses that are convenient with their schedule. The degree can be completed in as little as two years. Additionally, the faculty is composed of accounting professionals who provide students with invaluable experience and knowledge. There is a high level of interaction between the professors and students, despite the classes being online.
The curriculum at California Baptist is quite unique; students are also encouraged to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. BS Accounting graduates will learn how to address ethical issues in the business environment upon graduation. The curriculum has an applicable basis, which allows students to truly understand the material. Additionally, students will develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The curriculum also prepares students for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Exams.
Accounting courses include: Intermediate Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Federal Income Tax, Auditing, and Government & Non-Profit Accounting.
