The online Associate of Applied Science in Accounting prepares students to handle positions in various accounting roles, such as bookkeeping, payroll, budget analysis, and tax preparation, in a variety of professional fields, from accounting firms to retail to government to service industries, as highly skilled accountants. Courses provide the ability to analyze and prepare budget and financial information, generate forecasts, maintain records, and make adjustments to meet objectives through generally accepted accounting principles for varied accounting systems. Graduates are also able to select and utilize appropriate information technology, generate and analyze financial data and reports, and prepare accounting reports for internal and external users.
