The Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming with a concentration in Software Testing from Austin Community College District is an online software development degree program.  This degree is an alternative to a four-year degree, allowing students to enter the workplace in two years or less.  The online software development degree curriculum covers database programming, computer hardware, advanced databases, and networking technologies.  You will gain the skills and knowledge needed to test the quality of software programs and applications before they are released to the public.  To do this, you learn to create test scenarios, carry them out to discover issues, and then write reports so the programmer can correct the problem.  Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in the software testing field.
