Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences / Nuclear Medicine Technology with Certification
Augusta University

Program Details

Augusta University offers a B.S. in Radiologic Sciences with a specialization in Nuclear Medicine Technology. This online radiology degree gives students a solid foundation in the study of science, medicine, and radiology. Through this course of study, you will learn how to work with imaging physicians to diagnose and treat disease.

Nuclear medicine technology provides unique insight into all of the body’s organs, avoiding invasive exploratory surgeries. Specifically, nuclear medicine can determine the physiological functions of organs in a way that an MRI and an X-ray cannot.

Coursework covers a liberal arts base, upon which is built a solid understanding of human anatomy, radiation protection, the principles and practice of nuclear medicine, and biology.
