Program Details

The online Specialist in Educational Leadership in Superintendency program is designed for educators looking to improve their general educational and specific professional competencies as leaders in public school systems by providing study beyond the Master’s degree.  Courses are tightly integrated and focused on application-based curriculum while incorporating modern technology.  Courses include School Business Management, School District Administration, School Personnel Administration, and Contemporary Issues in American Education.


  • At least a 3.25 GPA in a master's degree from an accredited institution and program
  • Baccalaureate degree with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 (4.0 scale) from an accredited institution
  • Official transcript(s)
  • A valid teaching certificate
  • No record as a felon or sex offender
  • Three years of experience as a certified teacher in an educational institution
  • One year of building-level administrative experience
  • Written commitment from a practicing central office administrator who will serve as a mentor
