Program Details

The online Specialist in Educational Leadership in Principalship program is designed for educators to improve their general educational and specific professional competencies as school system leaders beyond Master’s degree training.  Graduates find positions as superintendents, assistant superintendents, principals, directors, and curriculum supervisors.  Courses include Ethical Leadership, Contemporary Issues in American Education, Schooling in a Pluralistic Society, and School Law.


  • At least a 3.25 GPA in a master's degree from an accredited institution and program
  • Baccalaureate degree with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 (4.0 scale) from an accredited institution
  • Official transcript(s)
  • A current state-issued teaching license
  • No record as a felon or sex offender
  • Two years of experience as a certified teacher in an educational institution
  • Written commitment from a practicing central office administrator who will serve as a mentor
