Program Details

An online Master of Fine Arts degree is available to the nontraditional student through Antioch University Los Angeles.  This low-residency program prepares students for professional enhancement as creative writers with focuses in community engagement and social justice.  Subjects covered throughout this program include but are not limited to:

• Craft
• Revision
• Critical reading and thinking

Studies will also address topics such as practical career concerns, ethical responsibilities, and rights of writers.  During residencies writers participate in assigned genre writing workshops and learning activities such as critical paper seminars, writer work sessions, and other activities.  Graduates with this degree are prepared for engaging professional careers as writers, editors, teachers, and more.  Pursue a passion for writing with an online master’s degree through AU Los Angeles.
