Program Details
The online Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management program provides training in emergency management, disaster preparedness, and threat identification and analysis, preparing students for careers related to homeland security, cyber security, information technology, emergency management, law enforcement, and more. The curriculum incorporates theoretical and practical studies while increasing knowledge using a holistic approach to real world issues. You will study topics including weapons of mass destruction hazards and responses, disaster preparedness, and emergency planning.

- At least two letters of recommendation
- An essay of no more than 750 words
- Letter of recommendation
- Hold a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.75 or better or hold a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. Required overall GPA may be waived on a case-by-case basis by the department head.
