Bachelor of Organizational Leadership / Human Resource Administration
Anderson University offers a Bachelor of Organizational Leadership degree with a concentration in Human Resource Administration that aims to equip its students with transferable skills relating to the areas of communication, self-awareness, and leading group processes through collaborative teamwork. The core of courses relating to organizational leadership helps to supply students with leadership skills and an understanding of administrative responsibilities. The Human Resource Administration emphasis attempts to help students comprehend the theory and applications that are associated with human resources. These topics include employment and placement, employee relations, training, and development. This program focuses on leadership skills that are based on Christian principles.
Through multi-disciplinary courses taken from a wide range of subject areas, this program should help its students to develop their skills relating to leadership, management, and career related competencies. While in this program, students should aim to develop skills that will help them successfully influence processes and outcomes in order to achieve a business’ or organization’s desired goals. The curriculum of this program is multidisciplinary, which helps to provide students with the practical applications and theoretical knowledge to be influential and successful leaders. Students will take courses from many different subject areas in order to gain a wide perspective on organizational leadership, as well as human resources. Students take courses from the areas of leadership, behavioral sciences, and organizational development.
Students are required to complete 120 credit hours of courses in order to graduate. This program encompasses 36 credit hours of core courses in organizational leadership, quality management, critical thinking, and psychology, among others. There is also an HRA core of courses that requires students to take courses in training and development, accounting and budgeting, and computer information systems.
