The PhD in Professional Counseling degree is a rigorous research-based program beyond the master’s degree. The number of hours required for the doctorate depends on the amount of graduate hours taken beforehand.

This online counseling degree is not designed to prepare you for professional licensure. Amridge University assumes applicants have already completed coursework for professional licensure. If you want to obtain professional licensure, additional courses can be completed.
