Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Christian Education program is designed for students interested in vocational or bi-vocational positions in Christian organizations. The program is ideal for students interested in full or part-time ministry education positions; those with backgrounds as lay leaders, current educators or administrators; or professionals who wish to enhance their credentials. The curriculum prepares students to lead Christian education programs including those related to family-life education, youth, children, and women’s ministries or to serve as teachers and administrators in secondary and post-secondary Christian institutions. You will learn about biblical philosophy of Christian education, and to interpret Old and New Testament texts. Graduates have leadership skills that are effective in church settings or in other groups and organizations, are able to use curriculum and instruction principles appropriately, and have skills in locating and analyzing research that can be communicated through publications and serve as foundations for curriculum development and other educational ministry purposes.
