The Certificate in Counterintelligence provides students with a foundational understanding of how intelligence agencies protect US national security and global interests from adversaries. Students will learn how counterintelligence is collected and how technology affects the use of counterintelligence.
Skilled professionals knowledgeable about counterintelligence can find employment in the military, federal government intelligence agencies, and security firms. Both overt and covert operational styles will be discussed in this homeland security certification. Courses examine various research methods and tools used in a counterintelligence environment.
Along with required courses in Counterintelligence operations and analysis, students can choose three electives from the following topics:
- Espionage and counterespionage
- Denial and deception
- Open source collection
- Human intelligence
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- College Readiness Assessment (waived for students with 9 or more college credits)
