Master of Education in Special Education
American College of Education

Program Details

Earn this degree and turn your current career as a PreK-12 teacher into a career in special education. This online special education degree provides knowledge and skills that are beneficial in teaching those with special needs. Complete an in-depth study of research-based methods to enhance instruction while gaining skills in developing curriculum, designing learning environments, and building and maintaining partnerships to better support students. Choose an area of focus that meets your career goals and interests:

  • Differentiated Instruction
  • Early Childhood Education

There is also a General track that allows students to select courses that interest them the most without choosing one specific area of focus. No matter which track you choose, you will learn to diagnose learning disabilities, develop individual education plans, complete special education counseling, and about applicable laws and policies.

Asynchronous courses allow students to set their own schedules, studying when it is convenient for them while the flexibility of an online special education degree allows students to study wherever it is convenient.
