Program Details

In as little as three years students can earn this online degree curriculum and instruction. Advance your understanding of a variety of curriculum development and instructional methods. This program is especially beneficial to those with careers in higher education at the college or university level, PreK-12 public or charter school systems, and other educational organizations.  

In addition to completing courses in curriculum development and instructional methods that will improve teaching and learning in diverse educational settings, students complete two other areas of study: research and a chosen Focus of Study. Choose from almost a dozen Focus of Study options so that you can focus on the area that will be most beneficial to your career. Available options include:

  • Higher Education
  • Instructional Leadership
  • Online Education
  • Second Language Instruction
  • Special Education

There is also a General Track available that allows students to choose six courses that best meet their needs rather than choosing a specific Focus of Study. Regardless of the area of study you choose to pursue you will benefit from the support faculty provide doctoral students, especially during the dissertation.
