Program Details

The online Master of Science in Criminal Justice program prepares students to face challenges concerning the administration of both adult and youth criminal justice systems through holistic approaches.  Students will gain the knowledge and skills needed to understand and implement effective strategies and learn how to use various methods of research and data analysis in case studies.  You will learn to help control crime and deviance in society, understand the legal issues in correctional settings, examine issues facing correctional officers, and examine reasons for juvenile crimes.  Two concentrations are available:  correctional studies and juvenile justice.


  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in Criminal Justice and a 2.8 GPA in all other coursework (4.0 scale)
  • Official transcripts from all universities or colleges attended
  • Connecticut Driver’s License or DMV Photo ID
  • Completion of at least 18 undergraduate credits in criminal justice
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Essay
