With a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision, you will be prepared to take the lead in whatever part of the field you choose. Whether in an academic or clinical setting, you will have the skills needed to serve as a well-informed counselor educator, supervisor, researcher, or practitioner.

Research is at the heart of this degree. Students will inform professional counseling practice through dissertation or research projects, providing new knowledge for the field. In addition to online coursework and a dissertation component, students will participate in teaching and supervision internship experiences in their local area.
