Master of Fine Arts in Visual Development
Academy of Art University

Program Details

The Master of Fine Arts in Visual Development is an online graphic design degree from the Academy of Art University, a top art school.  This program provides professional development in a field that is key to production, setting the artistic design and moods for images in entertainment.  The curriculum offers advanced courses in still life painting, figure drawing, character design, concept painting, and more.  You will take advanced courses in animation design layout and learn other core skills needed in the visual development field.  An emphasis is available in Entertainment Art.

Unlike the Master of Art degree, the Master of Fine Arts in Visual Development requires each student to complete a signature thesis book which showcases design work for a story-based project.  Project collaboration and creating effective timelines for production pipelines are also emphasized in the fine arts degree.
