Program Details

The Academy of Art University is a top art university with a unique online architecture program available through the Master of Architecture degree program.  This architecture degree offers two tracks to students, one that is solely designed to provide advanced standing options for applicants with a background in architecture or related fields.  Both tracks prepare students to provide meaningful contributions to our build environment through the practice of architecture and urban design.  Coursework uses critical thinking, designing, and making to prepare students while also developing their capacity through critical thought, rigorous exploration, and personal design vision. 

Graduates are prepared to:

• Visually communicate ideas through hand drawing or digital architectural drawing
• Produce accurate physical models of design ideas
• Effectively summarize the project and process in a proposal and thesis book
• Demonstrate understanding of material and building systems
• Demonstrate understanding of building codes
