Program Details

The Associate of Arts in Fashion Visual Merchandising is an online fashion degree from one of the top fashion schools, Academy of Art University.  With this degree, students learn how to become master visual storytellers using color, texture, and accessories.  The curriculum will help students tell the story of a brand and persuade customers to purchase products by physically promoting fashion products and services to increase brand visibility.  By the end of the program, you will be able to find entry-level positions with skills in window display, product placement in retail space, and basic competency in utilizing tools and materials.  Graduates are able to create and work within a budget to produce presentations, propose display concepts that are possible to translate from 2D to 3D, utilize fashion industry vocabulary and work with industry standard software, and communicate design concepts and philosophy two-dimensionally by creating professional presentation boards either digitally or manually.
