Program Details

Academy of Art University offers the Associate of Arts in Fashion Product Development, an online fashion degree.  The program at the associate degree level provides entry-level employment skills that are appropriate for assisting with developing technical designs and production packages, communicating with vendors and suppliers, and assisting various designers and developers.  With this fashion degree students learn to identify changes, trends, and opportunities in global fashion business, consumer, and products and to analyze this information to develop products for target markets and consumers.  You will learn to work with industry-standard product development related tools and software and to present and communicate your findings clearly and effectively.  Students learn to identify materials, sourcing, and manufacturing processes appropriate for the product market which includes the brand, the consumer, and the price point; and they learn to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and patterns using different mediums.
