The online Bachelor of Science in Public Health program from the University of West Florida will provide you with the tools needed to develop and promote practical, innovative health initiatives across diverse populations. With course sessions that last eight or 16 weeks depending on the course, you will be able to maintain your work, life and school commitments comfortably.
From a curriculum that promotes competencies outlined by the Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH) and the National Commission of Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), you will have the opportunity to hone your skills and competencies in developing and promoting public health interventions.. To complete the program, you will accrue 120 credit hours divided evenly between general education and core coursework. In your major-specific courses, you can expect to engage with topics that include the fundamentals of human nutrition, personal health, epidemiology of infectious disease, health promotion program development and research methods.
