Program Details

The Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing program focuses on research and scholarship in clinical, academic, and other scientific environments. Students may complete the program either part-time or full-time, with only one week of on-campus attendance required each year.

This online nursing degree program is open to students with a BSN, MSN or other health-related master’s degree, DNP, and students pursuing a dual PhD-DNP. Early coursework focuses on nursing and other sciences. As students continue through the program, time is increasingly devoted to research supervised by a faculty member and mentor.

The curriculum is individualized to meet the student’s areas of research interest:
