Program Details
The online DNP / Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree program is designed to prepare nurses to meet the specific physiologic and psychological needs of children. Graduates will have advanced knowledge and skills in the areas of health maintenance and promotion, and the assessment and management of diseases.
This online Nurse Practitioner program focuses on supporting the health of children while taking into consideration their family, community, and environmental settings. The curriculum includes components of online synchronous and asynchronous classes, on-site clinical experiences in the student’s community, and twice per semester campus visits during clinical courses. Graduates are eligible for certification as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC) by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and for state licensure.
Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners can provide healthcare in a number of settings, including:

- Requires on-campus visits twice per semester during clinical courses in area of concentration

- GRE scores not required for applicants with GPA of 3.3 or higher
