About Pikes Peak State College
Pikes Peak State College was founded in 1968 as El Paso Community College. In 1975 a full accreditation status was obtained through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Today, Pikes Peak State College is the largest institution of higher education in the Pikes Peak region. The school operates between four separate full-service campuses, three military locations and through their distance education program. The main campus, known as Centennial Campus, is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, adjacent to the Fort Carson Army post. The Downtown Studio Campus is located in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, the Rampart Range Campus is located at the north end of the city, and the newest campus is located east of the city in the town of Falcon.
Pikes Peak awards associate’s degrees and select certificates. The college also provides online courses to help students who have a busy schedule still get the education they want. Certain associate’s degrees can be completed with only online courses.
