Program Details
Nurses can gain the required clinical competencies and theoretical knowledge necessary to deliver quality psychiatric care with the online DNP / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Graduates are eligible to take the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification exam from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Students in this online mental health nurse practitioner program gain advanced skills in evidence-based practice, leadership, policy, finance, informatics, and genomics/ethics. - Requires four on-campus immersion experiences
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
- Submit evidence of completion of undergraduate statistics course with grade C or better
- Submit evidence of current, unencumbered RN licensure in the state where practicum experience will be completed
- Complete minimum of 1,872 hours of professional nursing practice prior to first specialization clinical course
