Nurses with a Master of Science in Nursing degree can pursue this online Post-Master’s Certificate to specialize their practice in women’s health and gender related issues. After graduation, students are eligible for Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certification through the National Certification Corporation.
Coursework emphasizes reproductive and gynecologic health needs of women and their partners. Nurses learn about health promotion and disease prevention care. Graduates will be prepared to work in both primary care and women’s health specialty practices, offering services including well care, prenatal and postpartum care, and treatment of common and complex women’s health issues.
