Program Details
Enhance your knowledge of teaching students with special needs through this online Master of Education in Special Education degree. Certified special education teachers, as well as those who do not hold certification but plan to work in settings other than public schools, can both find benefit from this program.
Students will complete coursework mostly online, with the addition of a one-week intensive course on campus each summer. Work at your own pace, with flexible start dates and schedules. Students can take from two to six years to complete the curriculum.
Participants who hold special education certification can choose an advanced track with studies focused on one of the following areas:
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Emotional and behavioral disorders
- Specific learning disabilities
