Program Details

The online Master of Social Work from Salisbury University features an Advanced Standing option.  This online social work degree is designed for students interested in advancing their social work careers and is grounded in the ethics and values of the social work profession, helping to inspire students.  The curriculum educates competent and culturally responsive social work professionals who are prepared for advanced direct practice.  You will gain the knowledge and skills needed to work with individuals, families, groups, and organizations in various settings within local, regional, national, and global arenas.  Courses offer knowledge in diversity, difference, and their impact on life experiences and identity formation while also preparing students to engage in scientific inquiry, evidence-based practice, and program evaluation.  Graduates will have an enhanced understanding of human rights, human and community well-being, and social and economic justice.

The Advanced Standing option is available for those who are recent graduates of an accredited Bachelor of Social Work program and meet all other requirements.  They can then complete this online master’s in social work faster and with fewer course requirements.
