Program Details

Earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing in an online format through University of Arkansas at Monticello.  Students gain entry to this program into one of three literary genres, Poetry, Fiction, or Literary Nonfiction.  Enhance essential writing skills including but not limited to:

• Creative writing
• Critical thinking
• Literary analysis

Courses are designed for self-disciplined, self-starting adults.  Curriculums include subjects such as technology literacy and “Genre jumping”, a term used for the different workshops available to each student.  This program also offers opportunities in graduate assistantships, keeping student’s portfolios strongly competitive as they enter the professional world.
