GetEducated Team Takes
Tony’s Take

McHenry County College is a practical starting point. Cost is the clearest strength. It helps lower early tuition pressure. The transfer path is the core use case.

Complete core credits here, then move on. Teaching is another plus. Professors are often caring and engaged. Many classes feel instructor-led and purposeful.

Students can build real academic relationships, even in a commuter setting. The main friction is startup. Orientation can feel unhelpful at first. Early contacts and issue-routing may take extra effort.

Social life is quieter overall. Fit is strongest for goal-focused learners who value price and progress.
