About Luzerne County Community College
Established in 1967, Luzerne County Community College is a two-year public college located in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, which offers associate’s degrees, certificates, and diploma programs. LCCC states a mission that promotes “excellence in education, fosters student success in achievement of goals, and positively impacts Luzerne county and the surrounding Northeastern Pennsylvania region.” Courses are offered in classroom settings as well as in online learning.
LCCC’s Distance Education program offers eleven associate degree programs online as well as several other courses. Each of these online courses consists of a minimum of 80% online content. Schedules are subject to change each semester. Most programs offer a combination of fully online, hybrid, day or evening courses. Hybrid courses are a combination of online course work and traditional classroom lecture and/or lab. Any on campus requirements are listed in Self Service.
