Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Biology for Educators program offers opportunities for science teachers and other professionals to stay abreast of advances in the field of biology. This program can satisfy many needs for professional development, and some coursework may transfer to master’s degrees. Classes are offered primarily through Spring and Summer on a rotating basis to accommodate teachers’ schedules. 

 
There are two certificate options:

• Option 1:  Students take four courses and earn the Graduate Certificate in Biology for Educators
• Option 2:  Students take six courses and earn the Graduate Certificate in Biology for Educators, plus enough graduate-level credits to teach Advanced Placement classes at the high school level or to teach in a community college

This online program can be completed in two to four years. The online graduate certificate provides the knowledge and credentials needed for career advancement. Graduates will have the discipline, tools, and new techniques to bring to the classroom.
