Between 6 million and 8 million people in the United States have some form of language impairment, according to the National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders. For some, it’s genetic. For others, it’s situational or trauma-induced. No matter the cause, everyone deserves the chance to connect with others through conversation.   • Complete their clinical fellowship year (CFY) and obtain their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP or CCC-A).
  • Apply for state licensure.
