Program Details

The online Master of Science in History degree is designed for students interested in pursuing a variety of careers in the field.  With this degree, students are prepared for careers in law, theology, business, social work, politics, government service, journalism, teaching, or specialized work in a museum, library, historic site, or more. 

This is a flexible degree in history, allowing students to complete coursework on their own schedules, taking three to five years of part-time study or up to seven years to complete the degree.  You will develop curriculums tailored to meet individual needs and interests, including coursework that crosses traditional geographic and disciplinary boundaries.  Concentrations are available in:

  • United States history
  • European history
  • History of the Wider World
