Tony’s Take

UWM is mixed, but often worthwhile. Career connection is the clearest upside. Internships and city-linked exposure are real strengths. Hands-on learning shows up in many classes.

In strong settings, that can lead to job offers. Daily experience is less consistent. Teaching quality changes by instructor and program. Pace also swings across classes.

Some courses move very fast. That can raise stress and slow progress. Support is present and useful. Advising, tutoring, and library help are meaningful resources.

But reliability is uneven across students. Class size matters here. Larger sections reduce professor contact. UWM fits career-focused learners who can handle variable pace and structure.
