Program Details

The Academy of Art University offers an online fashion degree combined with fine arts in the Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Merchandising & Management.  This program, which is only available at the master’s level, develops knowledge and specialized skills that are needed in the modern fashion merchandising and managing environment.  The fashion industry is operating at the global level and students need to be able to manage on the global level as well.  In preparation, you will learn to perform the major functions necessary to run a successful operation, including planning, managing, and selling fashion products.  Students also learn to gather, analyze, and use market research so they are prepared to operate fashion businesses in various formats.  Graduates are prepared to identify consumer trends to determine what merchandise can be developed, marketed, and sold, and establish realistic financial goals to meet their strategic plans.
