Program Details

The online Bachelor of Science in Government & Public Policy is a political science degree program that prepares students to play key roles in developing and implementing policies.  You will learn to play roles in fields including the environment, healthcare, transportation, education, the justice system, and more.  The political science degree curriculum prepares students to draft laws, implement specific programs, and monitor the outcomes from their positions in the government, regulated industries, interest groups, nonprofit organizations, and other careers like these.  Students learn to communicate effectively and persuasively, write persuasive press releases and other papers, craft legislation, analyze problems, draft original laws, and access and evaluate information effectively and appropriately.  In addition, graduates are able to use technology for informational purposes and integrate an understanding of economic, legal, political, and governmental institutions and processes with this political science degree.
