The online Associate of Divinity degree at Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary is designed for adult students seeking to gain a foundational education in divinity. The program includes the study of historical and contemporary practices relevant to Christian traditions, while using neutral research methods and intellectual tools not tied to any religious tradition. The curriculum builds on existing Associate of Arts degrees or the equivalent. The program builds on a broad liberal arts foundation and provides adequate preparation for leadership in certain fields of Christian ministry while allowing you to specialize in a variety of fields of study. Graduates are prepared to demonstrate leadership skills and minister on an adequate level as a pastor or associate pastor who can function in various support roles of Christian ministry.

The online Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology program prepares students for supportive roles to those serving in positions of ministerial leadership instead of focusing on the development of particular ministerial skills. Students will learn to work as associate pastors, church administrators, lay leaders, and Bible teachers.  

Courses will teach interdisciplinary knowledge as it relates to biblical studies, theological and historical studies, and pastoral theology. You will also learn to evaluate and communicate biblical theological truths in the context of Christian ministries.
