Georgia Highlands College

Program Details

Begin working toward a teacher education degree with this early childhood education degree. Upon completion of this two-year program, students can transfer to a senior college to complete a four-year degree.

Learn about the foundations of education, the diversity of students in American schools, current issues in education, and theories of teaching and learning as you prepare for a career in early childhood education. Each course has a Field Experience component which allows students to work directly with children in a structured setting, putting their new knowledge and skills to use immediately. The curriculum ensures graduates are ready to serve as teachers in public and private schools, familiar with common methods and strategies used in classrooms.
