I live in Florida and I have a MS in Psychology – Industrial/Organizational. I am interested in changing careers and would like work in the clinical field. Are you aware of any online/hybrid Masters or Phd programs that allow for licensure in Florida? Thank you!
Fielding is APA accredited, and recently got renewed. However, it doesn’t have the best reputation. It is a distributed learning model involving independent learning, so it’s not fair to call it online or even hybrid though. It’s also costs over 100,000 to complete.
Hi there, This is a common question and licensure can be very confusing. Most state licensing boards typically require a minimum of a doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally accredited school. BUT, some states require applicants to have a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited program. Herein lies the problem as Florida requires the later—a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). GetEducated profiles over 15 online doctorate programs in Psychology but unfortunately none of them hold APA accreditation.
