Master’s program with lower GPA?

Good day all!

I am not sure if this is an easy question to answer . I am 48 and have worked in IT for close to 20 years. I graduated college in 1992. At the time, I didn’t take school that seriously and as a result, had a low GPA. It may have been around 2.6 or 2.8. Will my years of experience be able to make up for my lower GPA, when applying for a master’s degree?
