Tabor College is a four-year Christian, liberal arts institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. Tabor was founded in 1908 by members of the Mennonite Brethren and Krimmer Mennonite Brethren Christian churches. Tabor continued to be affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren, but many changes have been enacted throughout the years. Expansions were made and degrees were added. Today, TC still follows the Confession of Faith of the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. Many of the doctrines are in line with most evangelical Christians. Tabor offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. With over 20 different programs offered with a fantastic faculty who are determined to help make your Tabor experience as beneficial as possible. The undergraduate academic programs that students can choose from are organized into four main major programs and one minor program which include over 20 different minors. The majors are divided into Education, Social Science & Applied Arts; Humanities; Natural & Mathematic Sciences; and Pre-Professional Programs. Tabor is accredited by Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
There is never a dull moment on the Tabor’s campus. Everyone is not only moving forward with their academics and personal relationships, but their relationship with God as well. With this close-knit community, there are always activities and events going on. The general atmosphere of respect for yourself and others makes Tabor a great place to be. There is a variety of student clubs and organizations available to students who have a variety of different passions. Students also get involved in different intramural sports if athletics is an interest. TC also has a good competitive athletics program that incorporates sports such as basketball, football, cross country, and track & field. There are a total of 16 varsity sports that the Blue Jays compete in.
Admission to Tabor is quite straightforward. There are also steps guiding students on how to apply for financial aid. Tabor makes an effort to allow as many different students the opportunity to attend with 100% of students receiving some form of financial aid. Aid is received through loans, scholarships, or grants. The base tuition for Tabor is $21,160 for an average 12-15 credit hour semester. This price is for the entire year. Other fees also apply such as room & board if needed.
