The Administration team, Can you let me know about the Online Degree programs offered by Gibson university of USA. Is the university recognized by the education council and are its degrees and courses Genuinely Accredited ? Awaiting your soonest reply.
Hello,
Thanks for your question!
There are a number ways to identify a degree or diploma mill and the main way is through the school’s accreditation (or claimed accreditation!).

Accreditation can be quite confusing, especially when diploma mills often create fake accrediting agencies to “accredit” their fake school.
BEWARE of any accrediting body NOT recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation or the U.S. Department of Education. These accrediting bodies should not be trusted and therefore we would NOT recommend you enroll at any of the schools they accredit.

I reviewed the Gibson University website and they claim accreditation from:
[li]European Accreditation Board of Higher Education (EABHE)[/li]
[li]Global Accreditation Council for Business Education (GACBE)[/li]
[li]Middle East Accreditation Council (MEAC)[/li]
[li]North American Distance Learning Association (NADLA)[/li]
[li]International Higher Learning Commission[/li]
[li]American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE)[/li]
All of these names sound very official except NONE are recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation or the U.S. Deptartment of Education!

Don’t be discouraged! GetEducated maintains a database of over 18,000 fully-accredited online degrees. If you see a school in our database you can trust that they are a REAL, ACCREDITED online school—no diploma mills here!
Best of luck!
