Students have a number of undergraduate and graduate online degree options for added flexibility at Northwest Christian University 

ONLINE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

The adult degree division of NCU houses online bachelor’s degrees in:

  • Psychology
  • Business Administration
  • Criminal Justice
  • Accounting
  • Interdisciplinary Studies

In addition, a number of programs offer hybrid formats and individual online courses are delivered through the Online Consortium of Independent Colleges and Universities (OCICU).

Online graduate programs include:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA); offering 12 or 24 months to completion
  • Master of Education in Curriculum and Instructional Technology (MEd); a one year professional program, with coursework delivered in eight-week sessions
  • Master of Arts (MA) in clinical Mental Health Counseling; a hybrid program
ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Northwest Christian University is a private, not-for-profit, four-year institution of higher education, located in the city of Eugene, Oregon. Founded in 1895 by Eugene C. Sanderson, this Christ-centered university instills its vision “to be a University characterized by its commitment to equip students to discover and answer God’s call in their lives,” and is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). NCU supports more than 25 undergraduate programs of study, in addition to graduate and adult degree programs.

Prospective applicants for undergraduate programs will need to submit an application, along with official high school transcripts and SAT/ACT assessment scores. Adult students will also need to complete the application and submit official transcripts (high school and/or college), along with a resume detailing a minimum of two years work experience. Graduate students will need to include program-specific materials, such as a statement of professional goals and a resume.

STUDENT FINANCIAL AID

Federal financial aid for online courses is available to students enrolled in a degree or certificate program (must be at least one year in length). Northwest Christian’s federal school code for application of the FAFSA is 003208, and federal aid includes student loans, grants, and Work Study. Along with federal grants, students may qualify for the:

  • Oregon Opportunity Grant
  • NCU Need Grant
  • NCU Church Matching Grant
  • Heritage Grant
  • Minister’s Child Grant
  • Sibling Grant 

NCU also works in conjunction with the Veteran’s Administration to award benefits to qualifying veterans. NCU awards scholarships based on merit and academic achievement, ranging from first-time freshmen merit scholarships and leadership awards to the NCU Alumni scholarship and athletic awards.

Northwest Christian University is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), and authorized by The Office of Degree Authorization, Oregon State Board of Licensure.
