Lorain County Community College is a two-year public school located in Elyria, Ohio. Lorain has partnerships with several four-year universities to bring bachelor and graduate degrees to the residents of Lorain County. Under this partnership, many Ohio universities offer programs to students right on the Lorain County Community College campus.
Lorain County Community College offers certificates of completion and associate’s degrees. Academic programs include: Business; Communications and Creative Arts; Computer and Information Technology; Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, and Construction; Health Care and Nursing; Science and Mathematics; Social Science and Human Services; Sports and Fitness; and Teacher Education. Certifications that students can earn are available in short-term certifications as well as in one-year certifications.

Varsity athletic programs include: men’s baseball, men and women’s basketball, men and women’s cross-country, women’s fast pitch softball, women’s volleyball, and men’s golf. Theater and music students hold performances at the Stocker Arts Center.
Tuition costs $2,877 per year for in-district students, $3,439 per year for in-state students, and $6,821 per year for out-of-state students. Books and other supplies are estimated to cost $1,495 per year. Tuition payment plans are offered. Financial aid is offered in the form of state grants, federal grants, scholarships, and loans. To qualify to receive financial aid, students must complete a FAFSA form and be evaluated to be in financial need. Approximately 69% of those attending Lorain County Community College receive financial aid.
