Eagle Gate College is a small private, for-profit university with several locations throughout Utah in Layton, Murray and Salt Lake City. Founded in 1979 as the Intermountain college of Court Reporting, the college focused on fields such as business, computer technology, criminal justice and several others. In 2001 the college officially changed its name to Eagle Gate College. Today, many of areas of study within Eagle Gate College focus on career education. Students can earn their associate or bachelor’s degrees in addition to certificates in several areas. Eagle Gate College has three traditional campuses as well as an online campus. Eagle Gate College is accredited through the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
